Xiaomi announced MIUI 12 last month, including all of the new features and changes that are expected in the latest version of their software. Now it seems as if we've got a solid launch date for the global release of Xiaomi's Android builds.
MIUI 12 global launch
This launch follows Xiaomi's announcement last month where they rolled out a schedule for their Chinese phones to receive the update. Now we've got an idea when the rest of the world should start to see the update.
Xiaomi announced that their Chinese variants should be seeing the update by the end of June. But now they have an event slated for May 19th, and that should reveal when the global phones will be getting updated. We won't have a concrete date until then, but it's a pretty safe bet they won't be far behind; sometime by Q4 should be fairly accurate.
MIUI features several new features, including a redesigned interface, improved Dark Mode, Android 10-like gestures, and some seriously cool wallpapers, plus a few more things. It looks like a very promising update from MIUI 11.
We'll keep you updated as phones get solid release dates.
