The dates for Google I/O 2020 have been revealed after Google's latest teaser has been solved. These dates probably shouldn't surprise anyone, since Google's somewhat consistent about when and where they hold these annual conferences, but at least now you know when to mark your calendars.
Google I/O 2020: May 12 – 14
Google's next developer conference will be held on May 12th through May 14th. They haven't detailed any announcements about the conference just yet, but we've got some guesses and expectations, anyway.
Last year we saw some pretty cool stuff, like the Pixel 3a (which then won our phone of the year) and new Nest products, on the hardware side of things, while Google Assistant saw some key upgrades, like the ability to simply say “stop” without a hotword to stop timers, live captioning features, and more.
This year we're really hoping for some Pixel 4a news, if not a full announcement. New Nest hardware also sounds cool, especially if we can get a refresh of the now-aging Google Home speaker, and you know Google Assistant is going to get a huge portion of talking time. That's at the heart of everything Google does these days, and this is their biggest event of the year.
