The Nexus 6P was a bit of a mixed bag. Not only was it among the last Nexus phones before Google shifted over to the Pixel line, it was really hit or miss on whether it worked well for users. It was a great phone, honestly, but was plagued with a ton of boot looping issues.
Those issues were so prevalent that a class action lawsuit was filed over the problems. It's been slow moving, but now claims for that lawsuit are open, and you can throw your hat in the ring for potential reimbursement, too.
You have until September to actually file that claim, and you'll need receipts or something else to prove that you actually did purchase a Nexus 6P. The window is pretty generous, though, including purchases up until May 3rd, 2019.
You will have to be in the US, too. Sorry, international Nexus buyers.
But if you are eligible, you can receive up to $400 back from the lawsuit that Google and Huawei have agreed to settle.
In case you missed it the first time around, the Nexus 6P allegedly has an issue where boot loops would happen, bricking the devices, but it also had a problem with high battery drain. The device would shut off when the battery was listed as high as 20%, which effectively cuts 1/5 of the battery off the usable phone.
The lawsuit claims Google and Huawei both knew about these issues, but didn't do anything about it and continued to sell the phones anyway.
