Old School Runescape officially launches on the Play Store 4

While it's been in beta for some time, Jagex has officially launched the mobile version of Old School Runescape on the Play Store for anyone to download and jump in. It's almost exactly like the older version of the insanely popular browser MMORPG, but optimized for smaller screens and touch input.

Old School Runescape is based off of the 2013 release of Runescape, which was based off the original 2007 version of the game. The desktop version of the game is still incredibly popular and nostalgic for tons of users, and now you'll be able to bring that experience with you on the go.

Runescape is free to play with a ton of different skills to master, quests to complete, and items to discover. There's an optional membership fee which unlocks a ton of extra content, including a significantly bigger map, more skills and quests, and more things to do, although it's not necessary for the base game.

The app is free to download and start and is cross-platform with your friends across other operating systems and devices. That also means if you already have a Runescape account you can pick it up on the go, but you can also continue playing on your desktop or laptop.
