Motorola teams up with Polaroid for the retro Insta-Share Printer Moto Mod 4

Going retro seems to be gaining some buzz lately thanks to the popular Netflix show Stranger Things. In a case of good timing, Polaroid has been working with Motorola on a Moto Mod that embodies a retro feel in recreating the concept of pictures printed as they are taken with the new Insta-Share Printer.

The new mod uses 2×3-inch ZINK Zero-Ink paper to produce crisp, smudge-proof color photos from the mod. The back of the paper even has an adhesive backing that can be used to stick pictures on a surface. In addition to printing out pictures snapped on the spot with a phone's camera, the Insta-Share Printer can also be used to print out photos from Facebook, Instagram or Google Photos.

Motorola is doing a phased release of the Insta-Share Printer. Starting this Friday, November 17th, it can be ordered through Verizon or at the Motorola.com web site. Major retailers Best Buy, B&H, Fry's and Newegg will start taking pre-orders on December 6th and general availability will start on December 13th. The Insta-Share Printer retail price will be $199.99.
