Latest OnePlus 5 teaser asks you to decide which picture is from the 2017 flagship 4

OnePlus decided to engage in a little more hyping of the upcoming OnePlus 5 today via a tweet regarding the new device's camera capabilities. This follows a bit of a pattern by the company of trying to create some buzz and control their message by being the source of “leaks” regarding the new flagship smartphone slated for release later this summer.

In the image, OnePlus has stitched together two shots of a bridge in a low light situation to try to show off the capabilities of their new camera technology and hardware. The tweet asks readers to guess which one was taken with the OnePlus 5, which should be readily apparent based on the color saturation and sharpness of the two images. What would really be interesting to know is what camera or device was the source for the comparison photo – an older OnePlus model or a competitor's model.

An earlier leak of the back side of the OnePlus 5 revealed an apparent dual camera setup for the smartphone. We also know, based on an earlier announcement from OnePlus, that the company is working with DxO to enhance the capabilities of the camera.

An increased focus on smartphone cameras seems to be an emerging trend this year as it seems each successive flagship launch claims a marginal improvement over competitors and a new standard for photography. OnePlus appears to be ready to play that same game with the OnePlus 5 based on this latest tweet.
