Samsung ready to launch noise canceling Level headphones with the Galaxy S8 3

Late last year we heard rumors that Samsung was preparing wireless headphones to launch alongside the Galaxy S8. Some more details have surfaced that make that seem much more likely, but it probably won't be comparable to Apple's AirPods or even Samsung's own Gear IconX.

The rumored headphones are still wireless, so don't worry. Regardless of your thoughts on the headphone jack on smartphones, all of the latest and greatest earphones are still pushing Bluetooth tech, and Samsung won't buck that trend. Besides Bluetooth connectivity, though, the selling point on these headphones will be the active noise canceling, similar to Samsung's current wired active noise canceling Level headphones.

These ANR Level cans will supposedly reduce ambient noise by up to 20 decibels, and there's a baked-in “talk-in-mode” that will temporarily cancel the noise canceling functionality when the listener needs to hear something around them. Sounds like a winner if Samsung can pull it off.

Launch date should be right around the Galaxy S8, and Samsung is planning on charging about $140 for the wireless accessory. They'll come in black, silver, red, and green, so you'll have plenty of options.
