
The software update rolling out today to the OnePlus 3T isn't what you think it's for.
A software update for OxygenOS 3.5.4 is being pushed to the OnePlus 3T, and it includes a bunch of fixes as well as optimizations for device owners on T-Mobile's network.
Here's the full changelog:
- Optimizations for US-TMO Network
- Optimizations to Reduce Lag when Battery is below 5%
- Optimized Bluetooth Connectivity for Mazda Cars
- Optimized Battery Saving Mode: GPS and Orientation Preferences will be restored when Battery Saving Mode is closed.
- Fixed Flashlight Usability Issue in WhatsApp
- Increased System Stability
- Implemented Various Bug Fixes
See what's missing? Android 7.0 Nougat. OnePlus still doesn't have its last two flagships, which show a very clean user experience in the software, on the latest version of Android. Last we heard, OnePlus said Nougat would be live on the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T by the end of the year. It”s now the final month of 2016, so OnePlus has less than three weeks to get a massive software update out.

OxygenOS 3.5.4 is appearing live right now for a small percentage of OnePlus 3T owners, and OnePlus will engage in wider distribution over the next few days. Just sit tight OnePlus 3T owners. A software update that isn't for Nougat is on the way, but it'll improve the performance on your device in multiple areas.
