Tile today announced the Slim, an all-new tracker that's the size of two credit cards stacked together. Theoretically, the Slim should be able to fit in your wallet so that you can track the things that matter to you most.
Actual dimensions come in at 54 x 54 x 2.4mm. In contrast, the dimensions of the previous model are 37 x 37 x 5.3mm. It's slimmed down quite a bit and should fit into a wallet comfortably.
As far as actual features go, the Tile Slim has the same functionality as the original Tile. If you check off the device as lost in the app, the tracker will actually ring until you can find it. What's neat about the Slim is that there are four different ringer options, giving you a bit of customization. It can reach a volume of 82db, and according to Purdue University, that's around the sound of a diesel truck driving at 40 miles per hour or a plane fly over at 1000ft.

Additionally, Tile is also launching the Tile Smart Location Platform. This platform will let developers and manufacturers embed Tile into their own products so that those products will be traceable through Tile's app. We're not sure exactly how many will get on-board with that, but the option is there.
Tile Slim will cost $30 per unit or you can grab a pack of four for $100. It's available on Amazon and the Tile Store now, but will be in retails stores like Best Buy, Apple and Target on September 2.
