Samsung to officially announce the Galaxy A7 on Jan 14

According to Korean media reports, the Samsung Galaxy A7 will launch on the 14th of January. It is said that the handset will launch in South Korea first followed by the rest of the world markets subsequently.

The Galaxy A7 and the Galaxy A5 will launch simultaneously in the region, with the latter already available in some markets. With dimensions of 150.9 x 75.9 x 6.3 mm, the Galaxy A7 is all set to be Samsung's slimmest smartphone till date. It will feature a design similar to the Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5, but in a slightly larger exterior.

The handset is expected to be packing a 5.5 inch 1080p display, a 1.5 GHz octa core processor, 16GB of internal storage (expandable), 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,500 mAh battery. Expect Samsung to announce the device Stateside sometime soon as well.
