lenovo_logoLenovo announced in the fall that it would be creating a new subsidiary company that would be run by its VP. The name has been officially announced as Fancy Maker. Lenovo has said it has plans to let the new company “run under a more flexible management.” The new brand has the unique opportunity of being started by a company with Lenovo's resources. Fancy Maker is said to be made to give Lenovo a brand to focus on online sales, so due to the name, it seems that it may be trying a similar approach to Motorola's Moto Maker customization website. Since its primary competition is Xiaomi and other Chinese companies, expect to see cheap prices on new devices from the young brand.
