Samsung launched its selfie-centric Grand Prime earlier this year, and now it looks as if the South Korean Company is almost ready to add another mid-range smartphone to its lineup. This weekend, a press render surfaced on line allegedly revealing the design and internal configuration of the upcoming Core Prime.

According to Indian retailer, Flipkart, the handset will pack a 4.5-inch PLS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (aspect ratio 5:3), a 1.3GHz Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, 8GB of internal flash memory (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), LTE connectivity, and a 2,000mAh removable battery.

Straight out of the box, the Core Prime will run the latest build of Android 4.4.4 KitKat skinned with Samsung’s famous custom TouchWiz user interface, which the company claims is the “easier way to use your device, giving you intuitive control over everyday tasks.”

The device is expected to hit Indian markets next month with an 8,500 Rupee price tag, which equates to approximately $140.
