It looks like Motorola is toying with the idea of getting back into the tablet game. For those who are newer to the Android scene, the Xoom by Motorola was the very first tablet to feature everyone's favorite OS and the first to also sport Honeycomb. Moto then released the Xyboard and after lackluster sales of the ridiculously named tablet, got out of the tablet game.
While we may have potentially seen a glimpse of what Motorola has in store on the phone side of things for the rest of this year, we don't have anything specific regarding tablets. However, from what it looks like, Motorola is in the process of testing out 7-inch, 11.5-inch and 12.5-inch tablets. From a source close to the situation the 7-inch tablets are more likely as they are more fully on a developmental path for release. The bigger devices are in early stages of testing and may never make it to release. The 7-inch tablet sports a Snapdragon 801, but will jump to a Tegra K1 when we see it become a final project.
If things go according to plan, we may see a Motorola tablet in the summer of 2015. Whether or not we see a tablet with Moto Maker integration is yet to be seen. We'll update you when we find out more.
