Google_Play_Books_Cyber_Monday_Deal_2013Many people rejoiced when Google finally added PDF and EPUB support to Google Play Books. In a short time, another update removed that functionality. When asked why, Google said that the feature was “experimental” and would “return at a later time.” The Mountain View company made good on that promise, as PDF support is now back with this current update. All you have to do is enable it:

“Enable PDF support in Settings, then touch a file in email or Downloads and choose Upload to Play Books.”

Besides PDF support, there are visual, performance and bug fixes all around. Settings and help were moved to the main menu as well. We have the download link and QR code after the break.

    1. likewise with ePub + Play Books

Gotta say that I do prefer the Kindle app overall – the only things missing are a widget or two and that page turn effect that Play Books has (sad I know, but i like it!)
