Wearable devices will be one of the biggest growth segments in tech over the next couple of years. Just about every Android manufacturer will probably offer some sort of smartwatch, fitness band, and/or smart glasses. Asustek doesn't plan on being left out as Chairman Jonney Shih said the company is working on a “feature packed” smartwatch.
He went on to say, “there are actually many challenges in this area,” because a wearable device that doesn't offer special features, isn't useful. ASUS is committed to making sure they create a product that can truly replace our day-to-day watches. Knowing ASUS, this could get crazy, as in maybe it will dock in your phone or something even crazier.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see something at Computex.
