Motorola promised a more economical version of the Moto X. Dubbed the DVX, it should be landing on Republic Wireless and other carriers in October. We had heard that it will sport interchangeable backplates and that is now confirmed. One of the advantages to that is the ability to change the color of the backplate anytime you want.
Even though the Moto X is more of a premium device, you are stuck with your color choice for two years, assuming you are buying on contract. The DVX gives you more versatility, but we aren't sure how many color options will be offered. So far black, white, pink, and green are the only ones that have surfaced. That could be the final count, or hopefully, Motorola has some more up their sleeve. They can't be all that expensive to produce right?
