A few days ago, we wrote about the Galaxy S 4 Gold Editions. At that time it appeared they were just announced and myself and other bloggers, called Samsung a copycat because Apple unveiled the iPhone 5S in Gold only a couple of weeks ago. Samsung didn't like that too much, so they quietly posted how the GS4 Gold Editions were actually launched on August 27th in United Arab Emirates and subsequently offered in stores on September 8th. Apple's event was on September 10th. They went on to show past phones that were all done up in gold, including this year's Galaxy Golden flip phone.
The bottomline is that it's all just for fun to me. I don't know for sure whether Samsung copied Apple on this one or not. One would have to assume that Samsung knew Apple was going to offer a gold version of the iPhone for several months. It was leaked quite extensively on various blogs. Look, all the manufacturers copy off one another. Samsung copies Apple, Apple copies Samsung, and Apple copies Android. Did Apple copy Nokia or Motorola (or both) with their new color options? It's the world of mobile, and everyone is copying each other, and us bloggers just like to have a little fun once in awhile.

Robert your a dork.
Whom ever comes out with it first and then the other (fruit phone) suddenly has it too. Well the fruit people copied it. Samsung beat them to the punch. Too bad so sad.
You got one wrong. Just say that.
Man up!
Ha… gold color is such a big deal!
Samsung actually had other gold phones back in 2007 or so anyway before 2010 according to posts I have seen on BGR
