Well the bad news came in last night in the form of the Verizon HTC One being delayed until August 15th, but we have some good news for those that really like the color blue. It looks like you will be able to buy a blue version according to Verizon inventory systems. It's showing as the HTC6500LVWBLU.
Unfortunately we don't know if it will be available on the same day as the “regular” version. As far as the August 15th date for the “regular” version, that hasn't been confirmed. We are only going by a leaked document. However, it will definitely be released during the month of August.

BTW, this article would probably get more eyeballs without the “in blue” in the headline. I almost didn’t read it thinking it was yet another silly story about how a phone is offered in a new color. Oh boy!
Htc will always be behind Apple and Samsung because of stuff like this, you make the best phone on planet and can’t get your acct together on launching it in the best network, that’s why the company will fail.

Wow. Its about time verizon but I think you guys missed the boat on this one. They are gonna fill inventory with something that came out over 3 months ago. Is it even worth it anymore?
It’s still one of the top two phones, and likely will be for some time.
That said, yes Verizon should have had it earlier.
Not ranting out on you in particular, but I hate the fact how something that ONLY came out 3 months ago is already considered “old” by the market in general. And to think that just a couple of years ago, I thought upgrading my phone every 2 years was already too quick. In today’s age, I’d be happy if companies put out a phone and support its software for AT LEAST 2 years. Used to adore HTC, but ditched it for that precise problem. Planned obsolescence sucks.
