Registration for tickets to Google I/O 2018 begins February 22 4

After launching a scavenger hunt yesterday where we learned that I/O 2018 would be held from May 8-10, it seems that Google has more information on the Developer Conference for us. The search giant has revealed that tickets to I/O 2018 will be available to purchase from February 2nd.

From 10 AM on February 2 to 5 PM on February 27 (PST), you'll be able to apply to buy a ticket. As usual, Google will be operating a lottery system, which means that there is no guarantee that you'll get a ticket. If you are lucky enough to get chosen, you'll need to have the cash ready to make the purchase. With academic tickets selling for $375, and general admission tickets priced at an eye-watering $1,150 last year's event, you can probably expect to see a small increase in prices this time around.

We are expecting to see Android P unveiled at I/O 2018, along with new features for Google Assistant. Those of us with rose-tinted glasses are also hoping to see the much-rumored Fuchsia OS in some form, whether as proof of concept or as a ready-to-go product, although the latter is extremely unlikely to happen.

What are you hoping to see Google unveil at I/O 2018?
