Razer’s Hammerhead earphones pack USB-C connectivity to replace your headphone port

Sure, we’re all lamenting the slow demise of the 3.5mm headphone jack, but at least we’re starting to see more manufacturers step up and offer alternative headphones besides Bluetooth options. This time, it’s Razer with a revamped version of their Hammerhead Pro earphones that should work flawlessly with your new Razer Phone.

The new headphones have adopted a USB-C connector, so you’ll be able to use them on any phone or device with the newer standard of port. In the case of the Razer phone or the Pixel 2, headphones like this are your only option since there’s no 3.5mm fallback.

V2 of the Hammerhead sports a louder, more bass-filled sound, too. It also comes in a standard version in case you’d rather use an adapter or just make it compatible with all of your other devices. Pricing starts at $49 for the basic headphones, but it goes up if you want an in-line microphone or wireless connectivity. You can find them at Razer’s website.
