A new leak suggests that Huawei is set to announced their Mate 10 later this year in mid-October, which will also be the debut of the company’s brand new Kirin 970 CPU.
The event will reportedly happen in Munich on October 16th and will show off the Mate 10 and a smaller Mate 10 Lite. The bigger of the two will use a bezel-less 6-inch screen with a 2160 x 1080 resolution, marking another device with a tall aspect ratio.
That Kirin 970 is also Huawei’s first CPU to use the 10nm process, which should make for an incredibly efficient and powerful chip for their next slew of high-end devices.
Details were much more scarce on the Lite model, but don’t expect it to feature the same cutting edge processor and high-resolution screen. There’s a good chance you’ll be happier with its price tag, though.
