I have followed the menus to this point: # Turn on the device and click the icon to open the phone dialer
    # Enter the code ’3845#*540#’
    # Select the option ‘Module Test’, then ‘Stability Test’

    BUT there is no
    ‘Enable Root Permission’

    any ideas?

did you get to root your phone? and how?

  • Federico

@Prat i’ve got the same problem, in another website the told me that i needed to download a file called ‘superuser’ and i tried again but still not working :/

  • Konrad

Me Too Im very confused, Is it because of a certain update because I just got my GT450 2 weeks ago and I cant seem to find a ‘Enable Root Permission’.

  • Niall

People (like me) who bought their GT540 form Carphone Warehouse are unlikely to find the root permission optionb

who knows anyway of root my gt540 optimus 2.1

i cant find anywhere ive tryed most of the roots

Any news??? I can’t get root access and in fact finding the drivers was a saga. Downloaded installer from LG’s website and it did not work and tried a few other files and URLs until it worked – so cant rely on LG of course to solve this.

If I cant get root, it is going back…

!!!! Use it to Your own risk !!!!!!

Put your phone into USB Debugging Mode first and connect your phone.

This is simple method. Download the zip file. Extract it. Navigate to the extracted folder and run the file “root.bat” a CMD prompt will pop up and start doing it’s work, don’t press anything. When the process is done your phone will restart and the cmd prompt will close, your phone will then be rooted.

You really make it appear so easy together with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something which I believe I might never understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very extensive for me. I am looking forward on your subsequent submit, I’ll try to get the hold of it!
