Leaked Huawei Nexus case lends further weight to presence of circular fingerprint scanner

Google is announcing its new Nexus smartphones on September 29th, and that means that the leaks are going to keep coming, with increasing frequency and accuracy. Today, we have images of a case for Huawei’s Nexus device, lending even more weight to the likelihood of it sporting a circular fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device.

The images were posted on Twitter by serial leaker, @OnLeaks. In the main image above you can see the cutouts for the 3.5mm audio jack on the top of the case while on the rear there are cutouts for the camera/flash and circular fingerprint scanner. You can also see how the case makes provision for the handset’s protruding bump that runs across the top of the device housing the camera sensor.

As for the case itself, well, it seems to be of the generic type made of plastic and often referred to an ‘S-Type’ case. It’s usually quite affordable and quite often, long-lasting as well. We don’t have too much longer to wait until Google reveals all, both about the Huawei Nexus device and LG’s alleged Nexus 5X device. If you’re a Nexus fan, which new Nexus device are you most looking forward to getting your hands on? Let us know in the comments.

I am waiting with baited breath for a solid leak on the Huawei Nexus size. There are rumours that it is not a similar size to the Nexus 6, and wll be smaller. (Though initial rumours are just that rumours really)
I am completely a Nexus fan, skipped the N6 as it was out of my price range but this time the stars have aligned and I am now end of contract so can justify purchasing the device outright and saving on a plan. :-)
But, I am completely torn right now between Moto X Style(I am in the UK) and the new Nexus’. If the rumours are true and it will be 5.2(LG Nexus) and 5.5(Huwaei Nexus) then I am going Moto for the big screen, great camera and as close to Nexus Android pureness as I can get.
If Huawei is a 5.7 or 5.9 screen. I’ll be torn, but think the Nexus might just swing it.

That’s really the articulation of someone who is torn and is saying, “Tell me what to do Peter!” :-)

Lol, I hear ya, from all accounts, the Huawei Nexus will probably be 5.5 inch. I was looking at the Moto X Style aswell, but have gone back to either getting a note 4 or waiting to see what LG bring to the table.
Out of the two(nexus & Moto), I might go with the Moto though, simply because they seem to get more out of the hardware. On the other hand, you can pick up a 2014 Nexus 6 quite cheaply at the moment. I haven’t really helped, have I?

I think I am going the Huawei Nexus – depending on the reviews. My current LG G3 is faulty and I have gone back to my N4 while it is repaired. Pure Android on a Nexus wins me every time. It’s simply the most wonderful Android experience.

          I ended up getting a Note 4 :o

    that hump…… no thanks
wait is on for something else for me

    • Gav

If there is a reason for the hump like an excellent camera, then perhaps it could be forgiven. But the hump is quite prevalent even in the case. If there’s a case that hides the hump perhaps…

If that hump only had within it a sideways optical array for optical zoom of the camera, that would be awesome.
