sprint_logoSprint has a new add-on, called “Open World,” which brings many new features for international callers and travelers. The add-on brings free calls and text to Canada and Mexico, as well as rates starting at only five cents for Latin American countries.

Sprint also states that frequent travelers in the Americas will receive free calls and text when traveling in Canada, Mexico, and “more than a dozen Latin American countries”.

The Open World add-on will include 1GB of free data when traveling in Mexico, Canada, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Paraguay. Any additional GB after that will cost $30 based on actual usage. Basically, if you use less you will pay less.

Anyone traveling outside of the Americas, Sprint says they will include a base rate of 20 cents per minute, plus free text from several European, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries.
