Google has been working with a company called VivaInk to create a phone unlocking mechanism for the Moto X in the form of a digital tattoo. Not only that, but it is now on sale!

Motorola dropped the hint that there were a number of new unlocking methods being tested, including the ability to use a kind of tattoo. After Google sold Motorola, they kept the ATAP lab, which was responsible for working on the new unlocking method.

The Moto X Digital Tattoo comes in a pack of ten adhesive units, which can be applied to the skin and used in the same way that NFC is used. They have an expected lifetime of five days each, and it costs $10 for the pack of 10.
