Samsung finally took the wraps off of the Galaxy K zoom in Singapore. Last year the “zoom” was marketed under the Galaxy S 4 umbrella, but this year they are taking a different approach and going with the “K” name, which stands for “Kamera.” Just like last year’s model, the K zoom is geared towards those that are most concerned with the quality of the camera in their smartphone.

The Galaxy K zoom sports 10x optical zoom from its new retracting lens technology. Optical zoom is something that is not offered on any other Android smartphone. You will also find a 20.7MP BSI CMOS sensor along with optical image stabilization (OIS) and Xenon Flash. Those looking for advanced features will like the AF/AE separation (/Auto Focus/ Auto Exposure Separation) that offers precise balance of light and clarity. Pro Suggest mode gives you 5 optimized filter settings and Selfie Alarm allows you to take timed selfies. There are 28 shooting modes in all.
