Flying can be a real drag. Sitting in a small chair for hours on end is normally no one's cup of tea, and to top it all off you can't even use your phone! Or can you? Thanks to the new Gogo text and talk app, travelers will now be able to use their phone to text and talk. Not only that, but they even get to keep their phone number!
Basically the way it works is that you must first connect to the in-flight Internet service provided by Gogo. Customers will then be able to use that connection coupled with a phone app from Gogo, to talk and text. Gogo has made agreements with over 200 phone carriers world-wide, meaning that while using the service you will be able to keep your normal phone number.
Unfortunately it is expected that talking on the phone will not be permitted on US flights, and Gogo may even release the app as Gogo Text within the US. You will also need to download the app and register for the service before you take off. This is because your phone provider and Gogo need to make the connection before you can use the service.
