Asphalt 8 is widely regarded as one of the best racing games on Google Play, with intense gameplay and great graphics. Normally that kind of game comes at a price, but it was only $0.99 at launch. Now, however, Asphalt 8 is free to anyone who wants it, and they can get it straight from Google Play.
There are of course purchases that you can make within the app for new cars and things like that, but those are not required of you, and you could just as easily get away without spending a cent.
The idea behind making the game free was essentially that Gameloft, the creators of Asphalt 8, wanted everyone to be able to play, even those that thought that spending $0.99 on an app was too much. You can find the QR code and link to the app after the break.
