If you ever need someone to cause a stir, just go to Steve Wozniak. In a recent interview with the BBC, the Apple co-founder made a bold statement by saying “I wish to God that Apple and Google were partners in the future” because “it would be pretty likely” if he was still there. Can you imagine a world where Apple and Google teamed up for something? Google, with Android being completely open, and Apple, so independent on much of their work, being in cahoots with each other. And that is a concern that Wozniak brings up. Hit the break for an interesting piece from Wozniak on sharing technology.

Wozniak wishes that companies like Samsung would license their technology:

“I believe you should have a world where you've got to license something at a fair price. There are good things I see on Samsung phones that I wish were in my iPhone. I wish Apple would use them and could use them, and I don't know if Samsung would stop us. I wish everybody just did a lot of cross-licensing and sharing the good technology, all our products would be better, we'd go further. I do wish they were more compatible.”

  1. Bravo Mr.Wozniak! You are a visionaire! Cross-licensing and sharing the good technology will bring more benefits for the consumers.

  2. Thank goodness he’s not at Apple. You guys in the press give Wozniak way too much credit. After having spent a great amount of time with him, I can say he’s not all that smart.

  3. Thats Apple’s own fault. They like building propietary hardware and software, yet think other non propietary companies should share their stuff with them. You can’t have it both ways. The only one that would gain from them teaming up, would be Apple.

its the same as all the Apple users always wanting Microsoft to give them Microsoft Office on Apples operating system.

    1. Preach brotha lol…but my take is Two cocky companies like Apple and Google can’t team up they would make the ultimate device …but it would never launch because they couldn’t agree on pricing ..where apple would wanna charge $1000 and Google would wanna charge $399.99

      1. The iphone is $650, not $1000. Also, Google would never charge $399 for an “ultimate device”. Every Nexus has flaws because of the low price and none match the build quality, camera or battery of an iphone. Your comment was filled with fanboyism t and deserves to be deleted.
