Earlier today Google+ announced they were going to hold an event on Tuesday to announce some updates to the social network. Some sources think the big news to be announced will be the official launch of Helpouts, a new way to connect people who need help with someone who can provide that help. Work on this new product from Google was first discovered back in August when a landing page surfaced.
Since then, Google has been receiving applications from potential Helpouts providers and vetting them for inclusion in their listings. One person going through the process, Christine DeGraff, reports the Google representative she was working with told her launch was going to be “very very soon.”

It appears to be a pretty big event they are planning. They are having rehearsals and they have a huge stage (from what I could tell from the photo Vic posted).
Helpouts don’t seem big enough for this event. There has to be more about it. That or Google is really going to push helpouts home and hope it differentiates G+ from Facebook as being more business orientated.
