A few days ago we reported on a render of the ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini as it prepared to hit the Chinese market. The device is now available in China after being officially launched by ZTE. Several colors choices are available for the back plate on the Nubia Z5 Mini which is selling for 1,888 CNY ($308 USD).

The Nubia Z5 Mini, with a 4.7-inch screen, is a slightly smaller version of the Nubia Z5 which comes with a 5-inch screen. Although not far off in size, the Nubia Z5 Mini lacks full HD resolution. The Nubia line from ZTE is a second high-end line for the manufacturer to go along with their Grand series. Like so many other manufacturers, ZTE is finding it necessary to produce several sizes of their devices in any given model line, even in a relatively young market like China.

ZTE did not release information about plans to make the device in markets outside of China.
