About two weeks ago, we reported that Asus were to release an Android based Eee Pad next March. Well, news coming out of Taipei today seems to confirm this along with some hardware details.
The source of this information is not exactly clear, but the report seems to suggest that it was gathered from comments made by Asus vice president Kevin Lin.
At the end of this article they present a number of facts about the planned Eee Pad:
- It will be a 10-inch panel. I assume they mean the screen, not the device it self.
- Nvidia Tegra Processor
- Android Operating System
- The price will be less than $399
There is still no mention of the version of Android they plan to run on this tablet. I think it would be safe to assume we will see 2.2 (Froyo) on this device.
Anyone excited about this? Will this be the Android Tablet that you go for? Is 10-inches too big for a tablet?
