Could the Galaxy S III Launch Reveal Multiple Models?

Well we finally got some official confirmation on this years most anticipated handset and it looks like May 3rd will be its big unveiling. As the release date gets closer, leaks are going to become more prevalent and the most recent set of Galaxy S III “details” come from sources close to BGR. According to BGR, Samsung plans for a huge GSIII release not only in London, but we could also see a simultaneous launch in New York City, Seoul and Dubai. The Galaxy S III is even said to be the official device of the 2012 summer Olympics. This would mean a ton of advertising opportunities for Samsung and should prove beneficial when trying to compete with the upcoming iPhone 5 launch.

As far as details go, we get further confirmation of what we have heard before such as a 1080p HD display, a quad-core Exynos processor and 4G LTE. What’s interesting is that BGR also mentions that the phone will come with options, one being its color (blue/black or white) and the other being its storage size (16GB or 32GB). As it usually goes with anything unofficial, we will take this with a dash of Morton’s… Although the thought of having options when it comes to the next superphone sure does sound nice! Which combo would you chose? Shout it out in the comments below.

Throughout his life he has had one, if not two, of every cool and new electronic device available. He began his smartphone experience with the original iPhone. After realizing it was more like theirPhone, he decided he wanted the ability to customize, so Stacy moved to the OG Droid and has been a loyal Android fanatic ever since. Moving through all of the top tier Verizon phones, he recently retired his Droid Charge in favor of the Galaxy Nexus, only to wonder what great device Samsung will come out with next. Stacy is a busy new homeowner in where he lives with his beautiful girlfriend and two dogs.

Samsung Galaxy S2 is already beating the shit out of iphone 4s ( trust me I have them both)… So I dont think that the iphone “5″ will compete against the upcoming galaxy s3… This is a easy match for the s3 :) love samsung galaxy phones ? :)

No sd slot? Battery firmly in situ? Over saturated screen? Pointless physical home button?

Must be the new samsung. The best seller to be.

    No thanks.

Where does it say that there is no sd slot? S1 and S2 have it. Battery firmly in situ? I don’t even know what that means. Over saturated screen? So you seen the S3 screen quality already? Pointless physical home button? No one but the developers know what the S3 looks like. So unless you work for Samsung or you are manufacturing the phone, I don’t see how you can already disapprove a phone that has not been released and when there is no firm confirmation of spec or dimensions.

The physical home button is only on the international model. There most likely will be no physical button on the one from the states. My galaxy note is the international one and it has a physical home button, I also have the Tmobile sgs2, with no home button, but let me tell you, I prefer the physical home button on the note and it’s not useless. Don’t knock it till you’ve used it or seen it.
