HTC Hero Images Surface

Here are the first live images of the Android powered HTC hero phone. The handset was first discovered in the leaked HTC roadmap for 2009 (the hot pink handset).

Very little is currently known about the HTC Hero, although we can see from the images that the phone is similar to the HTC Magic , but without the trackball and the addition of a G1-esque 'chin'.

One of the images also seems to show a 3.5mm headphone jack on the handset - a feature that has escaped both the HTC G1 and HTC Magic phones.

The HTC Hero has been previously linked to the Orange France network with a rumored release date planned sometime in 2009.

Hopefully it won't be too long before we find out more about the HTC Hero.
