HTC's U23 Pro 5G is official and comes with a price tag of around $620 which gets you a phone that is powered by last year's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, a 120Hz OLED display, and a 108MP main rear camera. While it's sporting HTC branding, the U23 Pro 5G's hardware is manufactured by Motorola, as revealed by Roland Quandt.
Besides the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, the U23 Pro 5G packs in a handy 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. A 4,600mAh battery is also present with support for 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
A quad rear camera setup consists of the 108MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor, while the front camera has 32 megapixels.
It may not be a ‘flagship' device, but the mix of quality hardware and affordability is certainly appealing. The U23 Pro 5G launches running Android 13 which brings us to the one thing to worry about which is software support that HTC fails to mention on the product listing.
The HTC U23 Pro 5G is available to pre-order in Coffee Black and Snow White colorways for £499 in the UK and other selected markets which unfortunately doesn't include the US.
