If you've already changed the screen resolution and organized the app drawer alphabetically on your Galaxy S21, have you thought about changing the default shortcuts on your lock screen? If you don't tend to call people much, the dialler shortcut is entirely redundant with the space being better used as a quick gateway to WhatsApp, Twitter, or whichever app you need quick access to.

We've drawn up a guide and recorded a video to show you how to change the lock screen shortcuts on your Galaxy S21 handset in just a few easy taps.

Those who prefer a visual guide can check out the embedded video above, while we've laid out the steps in black and white below for those who prefer text.

  • Open up the Settings app
  • Scroll down and select Lock Screen
  • Scroll down and tap on Shortcuts
  • Toggle the Shortcuts on
  • Click on the Left or Right Shortcut
  • Choose your preferred app

And that's it. It's really simple to change the default apps whose shortcuts are shown on the lock screen, and if you prefer a clean aesthetic you can disable shortcuts altogether by press the toggle.
