Next up in today's deluge of new Samsung devices is the Galaxy Tab S9 series which consists of the Tab S9, Tab S9+, and the gargantuan Tab S9 Ultra. All three models are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and boast AMOLED displays throughout, including the Tab S9. As the latest in Samsung's range of premium Android tablets, the Galaxy Tab S9 series isn't something you might call an impulse buy but boy, they sure do look easy on the eye.

The three tablets come in 11-inch (Tab S), 12.4-inch (Tab S9+), and 14.6-inch (Tab S9 Ultra) sizes, none of which you would say were as pocketable as the old Galaxy Tab S2 was with its 4:3 aspect ratio. Still, things have moved on with the size of smartphones increasing which meant that tablets also had to gain a few inches.
As mentioned, all three models sport 60-120Hz AMOLED displays, are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, support WiFi 6E, and sport an in-display fingerprint sensor. The ubiquitous S Pen is present – this time with bi-directional charging which means that you can attach it to the magnetic section on the rear panel with the tip facing down or up. A foursome of speakers take care of the sound and there's also IP68 water and dust resistance present.
Battery sizes vary from 8,400mAh for the base model, 10,090mAh for the Tab S9+, and 11,200mAh for the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra but all support the same 45W fast charging. As is customary for Samsung nowadays, you'll need to buy a compatible charger separately.
The Tab S9 can be had with 8/12GB of RAM, the Tab S9+ with 12GB, while the Tab S9 Ultra has 12/16GB options. Storage for the Tab S9 ranges from 128/256GB, the other two models get 256/512GB with the Ultra also available with 1TB. MicroSD card support up to 1TB is present on the entirety of the range.
The Galaxy Tab S9 series is available in WiFi and cellular variants which support 5G networking, and can be had in Beige and Graphite colorways.
