Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip will power mid-range phones from Realme and Vivo later this year

As we wait for further details on when the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will launch Qualcomm has taken the wraps off of its new Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip which will be used in upcoming affordable smartphones from the likes of Vivo and Realme. Built using the 4nm process, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC offers a boost in performance, multitasking, battery life, and charging speeds over its predecessor.

Performance
The new chip features enhanced processing and upgraded storage capabilities which Qualcomm says will aid seamless multitasking and app usage. Gaming should also benefit thanks to added support for 120 FPS displays while on-device AI provides next-level communication by
reducing background noise, so you’re heard loud and clear during voice and video calls.

Photo and Video
