The Nozomi could be Sony Ericsson's next flagship phone 3

With recent news of HTC, Motorola, and Samsung working on some serious high-end phones, where does this leave Sony Ericsson? It looks like they may have a trick up their sleeve with the Nozomi. This phone was originally thought to be a Japanese market exclusive, but will now be available globally as their next flagship.

It is rumored to have a 1.4GHz processor and a 4.3-inch 720p display. It isn't confirmed whether the processor is single or dual-core, but I can't imagine it won't be the latter.

It will be launched in Japan as the SO-o2D, but its international model number is LT26i. There were rumors of the next flagship being the Xperia Duo. It is possible that Nozomi could be a codename for the Duo, or maybe the Nozomi will in fact have a single-core processor and the Duo will be the same device, but instead with a dual-core.

We will let you know more as we hear it.
