Most of us own more chargers than we can find at 11pm, and a phone, earbuds, a watch and a tablet all want power at the same time. One multiport GaN charger can replace a drawer of bricks, but the wattage on the box rarely tells you what each port gets once a second device is plugged in. Six are in this guide, listing between $33 and $120, with rated power splits taken from the brands.

Prices below are list prices. Check the cable too, because several of these reach their top wattage only with a suitable USB-C cable, and only some include one. If you need power on the move instead, our guide to the best 5,000mAh power banks is worth a look.

Anker Prime Charger 100W: best overall

Anker Prime Charger 100W 3-port

Anker says the Prime 100W delivers up to 100W across two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, and that each USB-C port can supply the full 100W. Anker also quotes a 14-inch MacBook Pro (M3 Pro) going from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes.

The prongs fold flat and the body is compact enough for a bag or pocket, according to Anker. Anker says the thicker prongs are designed to stay firmly in the socket.

Verdict

On paper, the Anker Prime 100W is the safest all-rounder, the UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W is the one for big laptops, and the INIU is the easy buy if you only want one cheap charger. The Cuktech and Vention both offer 140W and four ports, so choose on whether you want a cable in the box (Cuktech) or Samsung's 45W protocol called out (Vention). The Belkin suits anyone who wants a familiar name and clearly published power splits.

Street prices on Amazon change often and can sit below these list prices, so check the current price before you buy, and keep an eye out for promotions. We're still waiting to see how the brands' power split claims hold up with several devices plugged in at once, and it'll be worth seeing how they perform in real-world use.
