In the new season, the scientist protagonists will be battling the San-Ti, a technologically advanced alien species poised to attack humanity—whom they refer to as “vermin.” The action spans both Earth and outer space, and the team will be joined by four new characters, including Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones) and Claudia Doumit (The Boys).

Behind the scenes, Benioff and Weiss have teamed up again with directors from their Game of Thrones days, such as Miguel Sapochnik, Catherine Goldschmidt (House of the Dragon), and Jeremy Podeswa. The combined budget for the first two seasons reportedly reached $267 million, giving the creative team considerable resources to realize their vision.
