If you’re like me and have some issues hearing, the multiple award-winning Beyond Pro is the perfect gift you can get for yourself this Festive season. You don’t have to visit a clinic or spend thousands of dollars; just a direct-to-consumer device that you can order, unbox, and start using almost immediately.

After personally testing it, here’s my honest breakdown of everything — from unboxing to everyday use, sound quality, battery life, and even how it compares to the standard Elehear Beyond model.

Unboxing the Beyond Pro

When the Beyond Pro arrived, the packaging already felt more “tech product” than “medical device.” It has clean branding, a simple but elegant case, and no confusing brochures, which usually make it harder to understand what you actually purchased.

Inside the box, I found:

  • The two Beyond Pro hearing aids
  • A USB-C charging case
  • A charging cable
  • A cleaning brush and multi-tool
  • Wax guards
  • And a bunch of ear tips (domes), suited to fit any ear size

The variety of domes alone tells me ELEHEAR expects people to fine-tune the fit themselves, which I appreciate. You have a choice of multiple shapes and sizes, allowing you the opportunity to find the right size for you.

The hearing aids themselves don’t feel as though they are cheap. They have a smooth matte finish, a great design, and noticeable lightness. They don't look medical either; they look more like something between Bluetooth earbuds and a tiny wearable device.

They are also lighter than I expected. Not cheap-light — more like “comfortable for all-day use” light. If you’ve worn hearing aids that felt like a battery pack hanging off your ear, these don’t.

The setup is really quick. I downloaded the ELEHEAR app, charged them for the recommended 2.5 hours, opened the charging case, and both hearing aids paired instantly via Bluetooth 5.3.

    The app allows:

    1. A hearing test
    2. Automatic tuning based on your results
    3. Choosing an environment mode
    4. Adjusting volume and clarity preferences

    Comfort & Fit

You can try various domes and find the one that best fits your ears. The aids sit behind your ears comfortably, and at times, you are likely to forget you are wearing them.

No rubbing, no soreness, and no “hot ear” feeling. That alone is a seller in my opinion.

    Sound Quality and Voice Clarity

One of the biggest advertised features is VOCCLEAR® 2.0 — ELEHEAR’s Beyond Pro speech processing system:

    In quiet environments

Voices sound naturally amplified, not artificial. You don’t get that metallic or robotic effect you may have heard in budget hearing devices. Soft sounds come back without feeling exaggerated.

    In restaurants or busy cafés

This is where I usually struggle the most. The Beyond Pro does a solid job separating speech from background noise. It isn’t perfect — no hearing aid ever is — but conversations were easier to follow. The dual-mic directional system clearly kicked in.

    Outdoors

Wind noise is often the enemy when it comes to hearing aids. The Beyond Pro handles the wind decently. Not flawlessly, but enough that it didn’t annoy me.

    TV & phone calls

The app let me tweak the sound based on whether I wanted the “TV mode” or “conversation mode.” Phone calls routed cleanly, though the audio came through like a standard hearing-aid Bluetooth mode — not as good as headphones, but absolutely functional.

    Overall

Speech clarity was noticeably better. It feels like I didn’t have to “work” as hard to hear — and that is the biggest compliment I can give a device like this.

Tinnitus masking was a nice bonus. I often deal with mild ringing, and the soft background noise helped distract me from it without feeling intrusive.

    Noise Reduction & Environmental Modes

The app gives you several preset modes:

    • General
    • Restaurant
    • Outdoor
    • TV

I used “General”, “TV”, and “Restaurant” the most. The changes between modes are subtle but do what they are designed to do. In restaurants, background noise is softened, and voices are sharpened. Outside, the wind is reduced, and the environmental sound feels wider.

    Battery Life

The Beyond Pro claims 18–20 hours per full charge, and that matches my testing experience. I’d pop them in around 6 a.m., and they’d last until bedtime with some juice left.

The charging case gives four additional full charges, which makes travel incredibly easy — no hunting for outlets.

The case itself is compact and sturdy. Magnetic docking makes it impossible to misalign the devices when charging.

    Overall, zero battery complaints!

    Connectivity & the App

Bluetooth 5.3 makes the connection stable. No random disconnects, no lag in the app.

The ELEHEAR app gives you control over:

    • Volume (left/right separately)
    • Environmental modes
    • Speech focus
    • Noise reduction
    • Equalizer settings (bass, mid, treble)
    • Tinnitus relief options

    Build Quality & Durability

After carrying the case around in my pocket, throwing it in bags, and wearing the aids daily, everything still looks and works like new.

The hearing aids are water-resistant enough for sweat or light drizzles — I don’t baby them, and they hold up fine.

Comparing Beyond Pro vs. ELEHEAR Beyond

Since ELEHEAR also sells the regular Pro, I wanted to include a straightforward comparison. Here’s a table for you to make the best choice:

Who the Beyond Pro Is Best For

After testing it, I’d recommend the Beyond Pro to:

    • If you struggle with mild to moderate hearing loss
    • People who want to hear clearer speech without clinic visits
    • Anyone who struggles in restaurants or crowded environments
    • First-time hearing aid users
    • Those who want hearing aids that feel like modern tech, not medical gear
    • People looking for long battery life and comfortable all-day wear

If you’re looking for severe-loss support or audiologist-level customization, you may want a medical-grade option. But for everyday users, the Beyond Pro is something I would highly recommend.

    Final Verdict

After personally testing the Beyond Pro, I must say I am genuinely impressed. It's easy setup, comfortable long-term wear, great battery life, and sound quality actually make daily life easier!

It isn’t perfect (no hearing aid is), but for the price, it delivers a premium experience that feels accessible. I’d absolutely recommend it!

    1. I have a pair. They are almost as good as my Phonak Marvels re comfort and I think they are a bit better in noisy places eg restaurants. They do whistle if you turn up the volume and curiously this happens most frequently when you are in a car.

I am a bit dubious about the noise reduction of 24db as my Pixel Buds Pro do a better job at that especially with traffic noise.
