Ultimate Value: Realme Releases the P3 and P3 Ultra Globally

India is one of the largest smartphone markets in the world, and as a result, it's not surprising that many manufacturers release phones exclusively in that location. Considering it is the most populous country in the world, it makes sense.

A good example of phones that were released only in India is the Realme P3 and the Realme P3 Ultra. These phones brought plenty of value, but people in other parts of the world simply didn't get a chance at them. Until now, that is. Realme has just released the devices globally.

The Realme P3 and P3 Ultra Bring Ultimate Value to the Global Stage

Realme is the fastest-growing smartphone brand in the world (their words, not mine), and the company has crafted that position through years of releasing devices that bring plenty of value at an affordable price point.

The Realme P3 series is just another set of phones with that same Realme philosophy, and instead of being restricted to one market, the phones are finally going global.

The Designs

The Realme P3 and P3 Ultra share a similar design, and both feature a rather simple construction. The Realme P3 is the cheaper device, and as OEMs do these days, that means it gets a flat back, flat frame, and a flat screen. The Ultra model maintains the flat frame but chooses to round out the edges of the back panel and screen.

The camera module sits in the upper left corner of the back of the phone. It's a rounded rectangle with two camera modules vertically stacked and a little flash beside them. The devices will be available in the following colorways:

Plus, both phones come with certification at IP66, IP68, and IP69 levels, so they'll handle water with ease.

The Screens

The Realme P3 series uses 120Hz AMOLED display units, so if those are the only two things that matter to you, either phone will work. However, there are other differentiators besides those.

The P3 has a 6.67-inch FHD+ screen with 2,000-nit peak brightness. Meanwhile, the P3 Ultra supersizes that to 6.83 inches with 1.5K resolution, and a slightly lower 1,500-nit peak brightness.

The Hardware

In terms of performance, there's quite a lot that makes these devices different. Needless to say, the Ultra is the way to go if you want more power, but that's too simplistic, so let's break it down a bit better.

There are quite a few potential dealbreakers with the smaller P3, such as a complete lack of NFC, smaller storage and memory options, and slower storage speeds. However, if expandable storage is important to you, the P3 is the way to go.

The Batteries and Charging

Both devices come with large 6,000mAh silicon-carbon batteries. However, they set themselves apart from each other with charging speed. The P3 charges at 45W, which is as fast as a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. It only looks bad beside the P3 Ultra, which charges nearly twice as fast, at 80W.

The Cameras

Both devices will present you with a 50MP primary camera to rely on, though the Ultra clearly has a bigger sensor behind it, with bigger pixels and OIS. The Ultra also gets an 8MP ultrawide for a little versatility, while the P3 makes do with a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie cameras are identical, at 16MP.

Keep in mind that the better chip enables higher frame rates for video recording for the P3 Ultra, enabling 4K/60 on the rear setup and FHD/60 on the front.

The Pricing and Availability

The Realme P3 series was always targeted towards e-commerce buyers, so you won't be able to buy it in person. However, you can get the devices on Amazon, as low as $229 for the Realme P3 and $339 for the Realme P3 Ultra. Those are early bird prices, though, so you'll want to strike quickly.
