The big three carriers in the United States all have over 100 million subscribers, so by no measure are they small. However, despite that, they're still hungry. They'll do a lot to increase those numbers, and the best place to get new subscribers is from the other big carriers—poaching those who might be less than satisfied with their services.

T-Mobile is the second largest mobile carrier in the US, and it seems passionate about the top position. With its Family Freedom scheme (formerly known as Carrier Freedom), it will now pay a lot of money to get AT&T, and now Verizon, customers to switch over to its network. This might be exactly the thing you're looking for.

T-Mobile Family Freedom Will Pay Off Other Carriers' Devices, Up to a Total Value of $3,200

You might be familiar with the Carrier Freedom initiative that T-Mobile has. Well, that's been renamed. It's called Family Freedom now, and while it is still the same concept at its core, it's better than before. Family Freedom is still focused on breaking you out of the shackles of another carrier and getting you to come over to T-Mobile, but this time around, it's not just for AT&T customers. Verizon has joined the eligible family.

The focus is to give you the softest cushion if you're trying to switch multiple lines over from another carrier to T-Mobile. With this initiative, up to four lines can be ported to T-Mobile, and the best part is that if you still owe money on those lines, the carrier is ready to cover up to $800 to pay off a device. But that's not it; T-Mobile will pay off up to four of your existing devices with that carrier, which comes to a total of $3,200.

This eliminates one of the aspects that would normally hold you back from switching over to a new carrier headache-free. You can just focus on enjoying life with your new carrier instead of having to bother paying off an array of potentially high-end phones and watching your wallet weep.

Family Freedom Can Be Stacked With Other Deals; Get Up to Four Smartphones for Free

But that's not it. Even though T-Mobile is willing to help you pay off your devices from AT&T or Verizon, this Family Freedom deal can still be stacked with offers that the carrier offers on other plans that it has.

For instance, T-Mobile advertises Family Freedom by mentioning how it will take care of the cost of up to four lines for you, but also mentions that for just $25 per line every month, you will also get the perk of four brand-new smartphones “On Us”, which basically translates to completely free. That's not a bad way to be welcomed into the T-Mobile family.

To take advantage of Family Freedom, you can get started with the process online, which makes things pretty easy. They'll want to know quite a bit, including your financing details and the money you have left to pay off on those existing devices, so be sure to have your paperwork on ground.
