OnePlus is one of the most popular Android brands, and for close to a decade, the OnePlus series has evolved substantially, with the OnePlus 13 being a matter of when instead of if at this point. The first OnePlus phone was released in 2014 and was touted as a “flagship killer.”
Since the OnePlus 12 is still fresh on everyone's minds, there haven’t been many leaks or released information about the next entry in the mainline OnePlus series. However, we can make some guesses based on the past releases of newer models, and give an expected time frame for the release of the OnePlus 13.
When Could the OnePlus 13 Launch Date Be?
While we haven’t received any official information about the OnePlus 13’s launch date, we can make an educated guess based on the launch of previous entries in the OnePlus series. If the company follows recent trends, then the OnePlus 13 will likely be launched near the end of 2024 in the Chinese market, and early 2025 in the global market.
Of course, phone release dates are never set in stone, and there’s a chance the One Plus 13 might be the model to break tradition and launch at a different date. This could be because of technical difficulties, targeting a different market, and a myriad of other reasons.
OnePlus may also launch a 1TB variant globally next year. While there is a 1TB Variant of the OnePlus 12, it is limited to the Chinese market, and looking at the past strategy of OnePlus, they should release the 1TB variant globally after testing the waters in the Chinese market.

When Could the OnePlus 13R Launch?
One Plus has a trend of dialing down its flagship specs to hit the mid-range market months after the release of the base version of their phones, similar to how they’re doing with the OnePlus 12R. Depending on when the OnePlus 13 hits global markets, the OnePlus 13R is likely to be launched in February or March of 2025.
What Are the Expected Specs For the One Plus 13?
For the OnePlus 12, OnePlus opted for a BOE panel for their display, allowing for a substantially higher 4,500-nit brightness panel. Given the great advantage of the BOE screen over Samsung, it is highly probable that OnePlus will lean towards the same type of panel for the OnePlus 13.
Going by the past, we can assume that the upcoming successor will be powered by the SnapDragon 8 Gen 4 and provide at least 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Changing the type of processor the company uses, despite it being so popular in the past, would be a questionable and very unlikely move to make.
