After yesterday's leaked renders of the OnePlus 12 we have a report concerning the launch date of the brands' first foldable which may or may not be called the OnePlus Open or V Fold. The report claims that the OnePlus foldable could launch as soon as next month – specifically on August 29th.
The report comes from Arvind via the SmartPrix website, going on to state that the OnePlus 12 will be announced towards the end of December. This isn't a stretch as previous OnePlus flagships have been unveiled during the month of December in China before their international launch.
As for the OnePlus foldable? Again the leak isn't beyond the pale of reason – it was Max Jambor who alleged that the smartphone maker would announce its foldable during Q3 of 2023 and that it would be called the ‘OnePlus Open'.
With the proposed launch date coming just a month after Samsung unveils its new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 phones, the OnePlus foldable may well steal the Korean company's lunch if its rumored specs list is accurate. Are you looking forward to seeing the first OnePlus foldable launch?
