Here with its biggest and most powerful tablet yet is Amazon whose Fire Max 11 represents a step up from the rest of the Fire tablet family with its more powerful processor and highest resolution yet for one of its ilk. It even has a power button that incorporates a fingerprint sensor, a first for the range.
As you might expect, the Fire Max 11 supports Amazon Alexa and the various smart home features and devices in the retailer's ecosystem. Show Mode is also present, allowing the tablet to turn into a smart display.
Like its siblings, the Fire Max 11 is still walled off from Google and the Play Store, but it does have access to the Amazon App Store.
Under the hood, you'll find a 2.2GHz Octa-core processor which is almost certainly a MediaTek Kompanio SoC (MTK8188J), along with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of built-in storage. That 11-inch display has a 2,000 x 1200 resolution, and you'll find an 8MP camera on both the front and rear panels. There's a USB-C charging port as well as a MicroSD card slot present, Bluetooth 5.3 support, and Amazon guarantees software support for at least 4 years after the device (in New condition) is last available to purchase on its site. There is no audio jack present on the Fire Max 11, you'll need to use an adapter or switch to wireless headphones.
Amazon claims the Fire Max 11 is good for 14 hours of usage, with the tablet able to fully charge in under 3.5 hours when using a 15W charger which isn't included. Instead, a 9W adapter is included in the box which will fully charge the tablet in 4.2 hours.
