Following on from the Galaxy A54 5G announcement, Samsung also debuted the Galaxy A34 5G which also benefits from a 120Hz AMOLED display and sports the ‘floating camera' design language which adorns the Galaxy S23 series. Powered by MediaTek's excellent Dimensity 1080 chipset, the Galaxy A34 5G is already on sale starting price of £349 in the UK. Samsung has yet to confirm the pricing of the handset for the US at the present time but it will likely launch on April 6th, the same date as the Galaxy A54 5G.
Besides being powered by MediaTek's recently launched Dimensity 1080 chipset, the Galaxy A34 5G can be had with 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of expandable storage. Yes, MicroSD card support is present. The 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display has FHD+ resolution, Vision Booster function, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate. The 5,000mAh battery supports 25W charging, and you'll also find IP67 water and dust protection.
The rear panel sports a trio of sensors including a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro lens, while the 13MP selfie camera is housed in a teardrop notch on the display.
Available in Lime, Graphite, Violet and Silver, the Galaxy A34 5G is already on sale in the UK and Europe. Samsung has yet to announce pricing and release date for the US market but we'll update the article once it does so.
