Here are the Word and Puzzle games you can play on your Smart Display

It’s the holiday season and that usually means that me-time is at a premium thanks to the kids being home, the in-laws visiting, and Bob from across the street gate-crashing festivities. If you find yourself with five minutes alone and near a smart display with the Google Assistant baked-in, you’ll be happy to know that there are a bunch of new games added to the platform consisting of puzzles, word games, and yes, even virtual pets.

We’ve broken it down for you here:

Word Games

  • Horizontal Crosswords is a fast-paced game that gives you fresh puzzles every day with a series of clues. You’ll have to speak your answer before time runs out though.
  • Game of Words gives you six letters that you’ll need to make as many words from as possible, the longer the word the more points you get. You can play against opponents from around the world to climb up the ranks.
  • Voice Quest is a fantasy-themed game that requires you to use synonyms to power spells and your voice to cast spells and defeat your enemies
  • Power of Words requires you to guess hidden words to battle monsters and save peaceful warriors from evil trolls.
  • Daily Word Wheel challenges you to solve crossword puzzles by unscrambling letters

Puzzle Games

  • Daily Brain Trainer keeps your mind sharp with quick daily puzzles that test your memory, reaction times, and pattern matching skills
  • Brainwash Puzzle requires you to guess the theme of a series of pictures that flash past on the monitor before the countdown reaches zero

Experiences

  • My Smart Pet leads you to a virtual pet that grows to understand you the more you talk to it
  • Hey Fish lets you customize your fishbowl and take special care of its inhabitants
  • Hello Kitty is a virtual companion that lets you choose where she goes and who she should meet

The games should be available on any smart display with Google Assistant baked-in such as Google’s Nest Hub and the Lenovo Smart Display, among others.
