Audeze’s new Penrose wireless headsets are made for gaming

There are a lot of options when it comes to picking a premium set of cans to listen to your favorite music on, but how about when you are busy blasting the baddies away on your PC or gaming console? Well, Audeze has thought of this scenario and has just announced its new Penrose Wireless Gaming range of headsets for PC, Xbox, and PlayStations.

Consisting of two models, the Penrose wireless headsets are specifically aimed at PC and console gamers, featuring Audeze's 100mm planar magnetic drivers, a broadcast-quality microphone for enhanced chat and streaming, and a 2.4GHz low-latency, lossless wireless connection. other notable features include the following:

  • Bluetooth 5.0 (SBC & AAC)
  • Audeze HQ Mobile and Desktop app with custom EQ and sidetone toggling

Both wireless and Bluetooth connections can be activated simultaneously, allowing users to customize their Penrose sound settings in real-time using the Audeze HQ mobile and desktop apps.

The Penrose range of headsets consists of the following two models:

  • Penrose: Compatible with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, and Windows and Mac desktops
  • Penrose X: Compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles, and Windows desktops

Penrose will retail for $299 US, with the first 1000 pre-orders are available for $249. Audeze expects orders to begin shipping in early September.
